        Ans : An approach is a set of correlative assumptions dealing with the nature of language and the nature of language learning and teaching. It is the theory following which a method is developed.

        Ans : SLA stands for Second Language Acquisition.

(i) What is ‘Scaffolding’?

        Ans : In education, scaffolding refers to a variety of instructional techniques used to move students progressively toward stronger understanding and greater independence in the learning process.
